Student life
Towards the end of each year we hold an International cultural day when students and staff are exposed to each others' national food, dress, songs and dances. In the past few years, our students and staff complement has been made up of people from Australia, Botswana, Burundi, Canada, Congo, England, Germany, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Switzerland, Tanzania, USA, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The majority of our students live on campus. This means that a real sense of community develops - which is vital especially for those students who travelled far from their countries and will have no other home for the next three years.
Accomodation on campus is limited and is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. We have a number of flats for families, while our single students live in shared accomodation. All residences are self-catering and we provide basic furnishings and appliances. Each residence elects a student representative to raise any accomodation concerns with the ESSA administration.
Students are represented at every level of our structures. Elected representatives sit on a number of bodies, including our Academic Board, Bursary Committee and even our governing Council. In addition, each year a Student Representative Council is elected by the students.
Every student and staff member belongs to a formation group. These groups meet weekly and their activities range from exploring the city to eating, praying, laughing and sharing together. We aim to produce graduates who have been equipped at three levels: head (cognitive), heart (affective) and hands (skills), so formation and discipleship play a key role in campus life.
