A major obstacle to theological training in Africa is affordability and accessibility. The block release mode allows students to keep their ministry, employment and family life intact, with as little interruption as possible.
Each course will be completed over a time period of four weeks. During this time, students will study at home for three weeks, being supported by their lecturers and academic support staff via our Moodle platform. All lectures and class activities for a course are scheduled in one week. This means students are only required to be on campus for one week per month, rather than the entire year.
Opened in 2007 and serving the wider church in Pietermaritzburg, the Phil & Carmena Capp Library holds approximately 15 000 theological books and journals.
